AYBT Company Auditions
Alabama Youth Ballet Theater (AYBT) is holding auditions for Company Dancers on
Saturday, May 14th at the AYB Studios, 1405-C Weatherly Plaza SE.
AYBT performs two shows a year, The Nutcracker in December, and a Fairytale Ballet each Spring. We
also offer many other opportunities to dance with our outreach performances and
events.
Ballet students (male and female) aged 11-adult, are invited to audition for Junior or
Senior Company positions. To be considered for Junior Company, girls should have at
least a half year of pointe work. To qualify for Senior Company, dancers must have two
or more years of experience. There is a $50 audition fee, which will be applied toward
company dues in July. Forms (available at the studio and online) are to be filled out and
brought in hard copy format, and parents are asked to attend the required parent
meeting at 11 a.m.
