Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre is the non-profit performing company of Alabama Youth Ballet. Under the artistic direction of David Herriott and Keren Gibb Hilliard, AYBT produces two major performances each year, The Nutcracker: A Yuletide Ballet in December and their much loved Fairy Tale Ballet in the spring which features timeless classics like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. In addition to these productions, members use dance to bring smiles to many faces with visits to retirement homes, hospitals, elementary schools, and participation in community art events. Students perform at public libraries and arts festivals such as Panoply.
